The conference is focused on the discussion on the Sustainable Development Goal No. 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG16), which is considered the key to the realization of all other goals outlined in Agenda 2030.
The "16x16 Initiative", launched by UNDP, aims to gather young activists and their active involvement in the implementation of Agenda 2030 goals as well as making calls for action on behalf of young people to be presented before eminence at a conference in Rome, and later and at HLPF. The member of Youth for Peace, Samira Fatma Baručija, is part of the 16x16 Initiative. During the conference, she gained room as a participant in one of the most important panels on the topic of dialogue and the role of dialogue in increasing security. Young people who are part of this conference had the opportunity not only to listen to experts, civil servants, diplomats, but also to be an important part of all discussions and panels, and to discuss the integration of the voice of youth into future activities and decisions related to the implementation of the SDG and the fulfillment of Agenda 2030.
We continue to be a part of local, national, regional and global electricity that understands the importance of the peace building process, and it is our pleasure to represent young people and to advocate the improvement of the position of young people.
