From November 2nd until November 5th on Andrássy University in Budapest, conference and project market #refugeepanorama, organized by Young Citizens Danube Network was held. Participants from Serbia, Montenegro, Poland, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, and Hungary and among them Youth for Peace members as representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered on this conference.
On the invite by Young Citizens Danube Network president Nikolett Somlyai, Youth for Peace members Daniel Eror and Emina Frljak, attended this conference, which included project market, a visit to UNHCR and Amnesty International, panel discussion with representatives of civil society organizations from Hungary and series of workshops from Compass Toolkit that was developed and implemented by Young Citizens Danube Network in schools in Hungary and Germany.
On this conference participants got the time and space to present their organizations and what they do, to explain more closely their field of work and also ways how they approach and work with young people with the aim of reducing nationalism, xenophobia and establishing a dialogue. This event was an excellent opportunity to meet other organizations’ representatives, find common points of work and by that to establish and open possibilities for common projects and activity on the European level.
