The first Training Course of “Entrepreneurial Mindset through Social Innovation in Youth Work” project is underway in Durres, Albania. Youth for Peace delegation is actively participating on it: Anela Zorlak, Dino Hamzić, Mireille Imamovic and Aida Terzić. 9 - days course was very productive. During the training participants had a chance to acquire knowledge, but also to develop skills connected to entrepreneurship, and all that through interactive workshops.
Since the first day young participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Kosovo, Turkey, Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Albania are exploring the topic of youth employment and situation all over the region. However, the focus of this Training is social entrepreneurship, so the participants were introduced with the holistic approach on non-formal education and shared their experiences on skills, attitudes and knowledge related to entrepreneurial education as well as worked on building a social enterprise. Social entrepreneurship ideas were polished by SCAMPER, the tool that provides 8 critical questions to be asked in order to develop more potential ideas for business opportunities. Beside working on their ideas, youth workers worked on themselves, improving their presentation skills through Pitch Presentation.
During the the training participants visited different institutions and organizations where they learnt about examples of good and functional practices in the field of social entrepreneurship, innovation and entrepreneurship in general.
Also, participants worked on designing their own workshops that they will implement in their own countries with young people. In order to make workshops better and more productive, participants had an opportunity to facilitate their workshops on spot and get feedback both from trainers, but also other participants.
The project EMSI-YW is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
