During the 21-27 January, the Winter camp for children and youth "Rischio Minore" was held in cooperation with Caritas Bosnia and Herzegovina and Consorzio Leonardo. The camp brought 24 young high school students who had the opportunity to gain new knowledge, enjoy in adventures and have fun. Youth for Peace educators also got the opportunity to teach young and from young people many useful things.
In order for the group to function, it was necessary to trust, and that is why, besides many activities, the Rischio Minore camp was also sprinkled with exercises that strengthened the team spirit, the individual within the group, and the group as a whole, so that young high school students could spend the rest of the camp learning one along with others and strengthening each other's relationships.
Some of the questions we were trying to answer during the camp were: How do we fit into the group as an individual? What defines us and how others see us?
Also, culture is the way of life, these are the songs we listen to, the places we visit and the way how other people respect us - our participants say after topics that they have worked together to discuss the culture of today, but also moments when it can become addictive.
This meeting, we this conversation with communication, realized the importance of communication in conflict prevention and learned the basics of the sign language.
There were many questions that the participants asked themselves. Where will we see in 10 years? What do we want to be? What kind of role models do we want to follow? Activists who built peace were the inspiration of ours work. We investigated their motivation, the context from which they came and wanted to move their feet.
The association of 24 young people in Visoko was successfully completed on January 27, 2019. Young people have taken many nice memories with their homes, and Youth for Peace is planning new activities within the Rischio Minore project.
