A group of 30 young people, aged 16 to 18 years gathered in Usora to attend a workshop on prejudice and stereotypes. With the recommendation of the Catechetical Office, the Youth for Peace`s educators have organized this visit. The aim of the visit was to - through exercises, encourage young people to independently come to the conclusion about the existence and the inevitability of the prejudices and stereotypes in their brains, as well as their manifestation in everyday interaction with other people. It is impossible to eliminate them, but it is important to think and control them, in order to avoid negative consequences, which often lead to lenient or severe forms of discrimination – this was one of the conclusions of the workshop. In a pleasant atmosphere of the workshop, young people openly talked about thei personal experiences and examples of what they have heard or witnessed.
