U Sarajevu od 6. do 8. juna je održana regionalna konferencija koordinatora GNRC-a iz cijele Europe. Cilj konferencije je bio okupljanje aktivnih članova Mreže iz cijele Europe na jednom mjestu gdje bi razmjenili dosadašnja iskustva o implementiranim aktivnostima te razgovarali o budućim planovima. Koordinatori i aktivni individualci iz regije, kao i drugih zemalja Europe su imali priliku susresti se i sa Upravnim odborom GNRC-a sa sjedištem u Nairobiju, Kenija. Konferenciji su nazočili Dr. Mustafa Y. Ali, generalni sekretar, Mohammad Belall Maudarbux, program manager i Miriam Rubino, koordinatorica programa za mlade. Na jednom mjestu su se skupili najodgovorniji ljudi GNRC-a i podjelili svoje vizije sa aktivnim članovima u Europi. Razgovaralo se o projektima i kampanjama koje su u toku: "Ethics Education", "Day of Prayer for Children" i "End Child Poverty". Glavnina aktivnosti Mreže će se odvijati u sklopu ove tri kampanje sa zajedničkim ciljem - promovisanjem prava djeteta i borbi protiv siromaštva.
Ovogodišnju konferenciju je organizovao Youth for Peace, te ugostio mlade iz različitih dijelova svijeta. Za vrijeme trajanja Konferencije gosti su mogli prisustvovati i Sarajevo Peace Event-u koji je se održavao paralelno. Svakodnevno je učesnicima bilo na rasploganju nekoliko radionica i okruglih stolova od kojih su neki bili veoma relavantni za tematiku kojom se bave organizacije članice GNRC-a.
On June 6th, Youth for Peace with GNRC Youth volunteers from BIH organized and conducted a workshop during the international Sarajevo Peace Event. The workshop, titled "Peace begins with Me", took place at the Hotel Grand in Sarajevo, and highlighted Arigatou International's initiatives, the work of the GNRC around the world, as well as welcomed visitors from international organizations for experiential reflections on peace building. It was also a great opportunity for networking and meeting like-minded organizations and individuals.
The workshop was divided into four 'stations', with a presentation to getting acquainted with the work of the GNRC and the other initiaves of AI, a Mandala and meditative section, a discussions and brainstorming session, and other hands-on activities such as creating inspiring messages within paper cranes that adorned a Peace wall.
32 young Christians, Jews, Muslims and Sikhs, from different European countries, took part in a week long intercultural interfaith seminar "Bridging our differences. Learning skills of intercultural dialogue together!" 31 March – 6 April 2014 in Wroclaw, Poland. The seminar was organized by World Students Christian Federation – Europe (WSCF-E) and Religions for Peace, European Interfaith Youth Network (RfP, EYN).
The aim of the seminar was to help young faith leaders to develop skills in communication across cultural divides and being able to engage in dialogue with people of different cultural or religious backgrounds. Seminar opened with interfaith prayers led by Daniela Malec – RfP EIYN Consultant, with fours participants representing different religion, presenting their welcome prayers of welcoming the other in accordance with their respective faith. First full day of the seminar was dedicated to group building sessions led by Thomas Gilet – Co-Coordinator of International Youth Committee of RfP.
