Youth Ambassadors program is based on the principle of individual approach to participants, where the young person that is learning is put in the centre, and the tempo and way of work is being adapted to every single participant. This program gathers 10 young people, aged 18-23, and 10 mentors, that are experienced in the field of working with youth, youth activism and civic engagement.

The program consists of several joint gatherings of mentors and mentees, who work together on the topics that are important for the development of young persons, to help them to become actively engaged in civil society and become ambassadors of new ideas and changes in their respective communities. Second part of the program consists of individual meetings of mentors and mentees, where the program is shaped and adapted to the educational needs of young person, her/his learning style and interests.

Finally, the program aims to build a team of these 10 young people, who will at the end of their one-year long training, through joint and individual meetings, carry out one project that will be directed towards an issue in bh society, that they have identified together, and to which solution they can contribute with their knowledge, skills and actions. Youth for Peace implements this program with the support and partnership of United Religions Initiative (URI).
